Ambassadors for Christ?!

Guess what?! I am writing a blog post from my phone. Just going to warn you- posts from my phone will probably have misspellings and all… Okay, here goes! First post from my iPhone!

What does it mean to be a sacred worker?

Previously, I wrote about our spiritual gift being a means to worship God and experience Him in a special way specific to who He created you to be. One point though, that I failed to emphasize was the last Bible verse that I left you with: “We are Christ’s ambassadors” 2 Corinthians 5:20.

What does it mean to be an ambassador if Christ and what in the world does that hefty job title entail?

In my devotional this morning, Oswald Chambers wrote, “The Christian worker has to be a sacred ‘go-between’… The real presence of Christ coming through every aspect of the worker’s life.”

In other words, you are an ambassador of Christ in your everyday, ordinary life. Whenever you wear a cross around your neck, your bible in your hand, an icthus on your car, you are setting yourself apart in the world as a worker for the Lord.

The question though, is this: are we a sacred go-between? Through every aspect of our lives, does Christ’s presence come pouring out of us and into others?

Are we sacred workers?
