For the past couple of days, I’ve had the great joy of spending time with my Pappaw, Aunt Cindy, and my wonderful grandmother, “Mammaw.”We’ve had so much fun watching the news, the Weather Channel, and drinking Pappaw’s strong coffee with Splenda since it’s “fully leaded”–our way of saying very dark and strong.  While enjoying this slower pace of life here in a small town of Mississippi, I’ve found a warmth of love and responsibility in living with family.

“As a father shows compassion to his children,

so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.”

Psalm 103:13

This is just a quick post to ask for your thoughts and prayers today as Mammaw goes to the doctor.  Also, this is just a wonderful opportunity for me to show off this picture of me with my beautiful mom and Mammaw.  Aren’t they both so pretty? 😉

“But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart

with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,

which in God’s sight is very precious.”

1 Peter 3:4

have a wonderful day 🙂

  1. Such a beautiful picture of 3 lovely women! Your love and admiration of your “Mammaw” is so clear in the way to talk about her. It’s a blessing to see the way you love her. Lifting up prayers!

ps- love the new background 😀

    • Thank you so much, Sarah! You are so right… I love my grandparents 🙂 I love your blog too! By the way, it was so great to meet your mom, dad and sister at RUF this past semester. Talk to you soon and praying for you, too!
